When in doubt, search the web. |
Honestly, the message box above says everything I need to tell you. Apart from that...
We organize our pages into namespaces, which are specific areas that separate articles between topics. Help:Home
, for instance, is a page called Home
residing in the namespace called Help
.
- Main is the normal one, which displays just the article name. Pages for the public go here.
- Project is for internal documentation. Things pertaining to the club, and for members of the club, go here.
- Help is where you go to get help with the wiki. I want to keep it small to reserve effort for the more important parts of the wiki. User:PocketEngi, the wiki's first administrator (established 2013-2014), wants YOU to keep this place healthy.
- Template is where templates are stored. They're used for canned responses or things that need to exist on many pages. They save time copying and pasting; you can instead link to the template to display it in a page.
Tips
- Use the Discussion tab. When talking about wiki pages, it totally beats talking with fellow members elsewhere.
- Know CSS and good wiki practices. It's how the wiki stays clean and usable.
- Keep everything up to date. Old information isn't helpful, especially in documentation.
- Categorize! It's how anyone would know where an article exists. (Learn about wiki categories.)
- Use a navigation template to allow readers to move between related pages. It de-isolates pages, making them much easier to come across.
- Add redirects to make pages easier to access.

should lead to the same page, for example.
